RB FALCONS L.F.C

The Falcons were formed in 2000 by Julia Buckingham. She played for a football team who left her on the bench week in week out. She put out an advert for women who wanted to play football but also to meet new people.

Due to the response that she received, she decided to set up a club and name it The Falcons. The team has an age range of 16 to 60! Players are of all abilities. In 2007, Ray Buckingham, The Falcons' chairman, coach, manager and sole investor when the club started, passed away suddenly. The Falcons decided to changed their name in respect for him and became RB Falcons but later folded in May 2009.
